(a) I Maga’håga/Maga’låhi or designee shall obtain, on behalf of the employees of the Government, false arrest insurance on a competitive basis for the employees for any false arrest, assault and battery, false imprisonment or malicious prosecution in the course of the employee’s duties as a peace officer of Guam. (b) The Chief of Police shall determine which employees of the Government require such protection and their participation therein shall be mandatory and all premiums for any such policies shall be paid in full by the Government. (c) As used in this Section, “peace officer” shall mean all persons designated as such by 8 GCA § 5.55 (Criminal Procedure).
