Evidence of Transfers Filed at the Department of Land Management

(a) Transfer of real property interests pursuant to this Act, including, but not limited to, fee estates, easements and land use rights evidenced by easements, leases and licenses, shall be filed in the form of deeds or assignments signed by I Maga’hågan/Maga’låhen Guåhan in good form containing specific property descriptions, lot numbers and map numbers, at the Department of Land Management within three hundred sixty (360) days of the effective date of this Act. (b) Any transfer not filed within such time frame shall lapse and be of no further force and effect unless re-initiated or authorized by separate statutory legislation authority. (c) Any subsequent easements or transfers of property from the government of Guam, including the Chamorro Land Trust Commission, shall be in the form of deeds or assignments in good form containing specific property descriptions, lot numbers and map numbers, recorded at the Department of Land Management. 2017 NOTE: Subsection designations added pursuant to authority granted by 1 GCA § 1606.
