International Mechanical Code Adopted

The International Mechanical Code, 2009 edition, including Appendix A, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as amended. SOURCE: Added by P.L. 30-199:4 (Sept. 21, 2010). 2021 NOTE: P.L. 35-145 (Jan. 22, 2021) adopted the new Guam Tropical Energy Code. Section 4 of this public law provided for the following amendments to the International Mechanical Code, 2009 as adopted pursuant to 21 GCA § 67101.2: 1) “301.2 Energy utilization. Heating, ventilating and air- conditioning systems of all structures shall be designed and installed for efficient utilization of energy in accordance with the 2017 Guam Tropical Energy Code as approved by the Guam Building Code Council on February 25, 2020.” 2) “604.1 General. Duct insulation shall conform to the requirements the 2017 Guam Tropical Energy Code as approved by the Guam Building Code Council on February 25, 2020.”
