The following fees will be charged by the Customs and Quarantine Agency for the issuance of Certificates of Origin: For certificates wherein the stated value of the merchandise ranges from: $ 0.01 to $ 100.00 a fee of $ 0.25 $ 100.01 to $ 500.00 a fee of $ 0.50 $ 500.01 to $ 1,000.00 a fee of $ 1.00 $ 1,000.01 to $ 5,000.00 a fee of $ 1.50 $ 5,000.01 to $ 10,000.00 a fee of $ 2.25

SOURCE: GC § 47135. Except as noted above, the sections from the beginning of this Chapter until this section were renumbered to the Govt. Code sections indicated by P.L. 7-048 (July 9, 1963). The original sections, enacted with the original Government Code, were § 14200-14235. It is clear to the Compiler that the original customs law were regulations issued under the Naval Government. In fact, an examination of the original enactments of the First Guam Legislature shows that all that Legislature did with respect to the customs rules and regulations is to repeal the tariff schedules then applicable to imports into Guam, and by this means made Guam a duty free port. The bureaucratic structure supporting the tariff schedules, however, was continued. NOTE: P.L. 22-112 (April 11, 1994) enacted a new 5 GCA § 3127 that established the Customs and Quarantine Agency as an agency separate and apart from the Department of Commerce, effective Oct. 1, 1994. All personnel, equipment and duties was transferred from the Customs and Quarantine Division of the Department of Commerce the newly formed Customs and Quarantine Agency. Pursuant to this transfer, the Compiler has changed references in this section from the Department of Commerce to the new Customs and Quarantine Agency.
