Contracts

The Department may enter into and carry out contracts with the Federal government or any agency thereof under which the Federal government or agency grants financial or other assistance to the Department to further the purposes of this Chapter. The Department may agree to and comply with any reasonable conditions not inconsistent with territorial law which are imposed on such grants. Such grant funds or other assistance may be accepted from the Federal government or agency and expended whether or not pursuant to a contract. The Department may further enter into and carry out contracts with any private party to further the purpose of this Chapter. SOURCE: GC § 13985.9 enacted by P.L. 12-126 (May 3, 1974).
