Exemption; vicarious liability

[§279L-4] Exemption; vicarious liability. Consistent with title 49 United States Code section 30106, a peer-to-peer car-sharing program and shared car owner shall be exempt from vicarious liability under any state or local law that imposes liability solely based upon motor vehicle ownership.
