Sec. 45.12.
All vertical shafts from which hoisting is done by means of a bucket shall be provided with suitable guides, and in connection with the bucket there shall be a cross head traveling upon these guides, the heights of which cross head shall be at least two-thirds of its width; provided, however, that the provisions of this rule shall not be applicable to any mine which is in operation on the effective date of this amendment.
