(625 ILCS 5/1-125.11) (This Section may contain text from a Public Act with a delayed effective date) Sec. 1-125.11. High-speed electric scooter. A device with 2 or 3 wheels, handlebars, and a floorboard that can be stood upon while riding, that is solely powered by an electric motor and human power, and whose maximum speed, with or without human propulsion, is more than 15 miles per hour. "High-speed electric scooter" does not include a moped or motor driven cycle.
