Definitions

Sec. 1. As used in this chapter: (1) "Medicaid inpatient payments for safety-net hospitals" means the payments provided for in the Medicaid state plan for inpatient services provided by hospitals that satisfy the definition of a safety-net hospital under the Medicaid state plan; and (2) "Medicaid outpatient payments for safety-net hospitals" means the payments provided for in the Medicaid state plan for outpatient services provided by hospitals that satisfy the definition of a safety-net hospital under the Medicaid state plan.
