Application of chapter

Sec. 1. This chapter applies to a proceeding for commitment of an individual: (1) alleged to be mentally ill and either dangerous or gravely disabled; and (2) whose commitment is reasonably expected to require custody, care, or treatment in a facility for more than ninety (90) days.
