Ind. Code § 16-18-2-139.5

Sec. 139.5. "Forensic medical exam", for purposes of IC 16-21-8, means the following: (1) Appropriate procedures for acquiring evidence that may be used in a criminal proceeding against a person charged with a sex crime. (2) Suturing and care of wounds that stem directly from the sex crime, including anesthesia and prescribed medication. As added by P.L.121-2006, SEC.21.
