Sec. 244.8. "Neonatal abstinence syndrome" and "NAS", for purposes of IC 16-19-16, refer to the various adverse effects that occur in a newborn infant who was exposed to addictive illegal or prescription drugs while in the mother's womb. As added by P.L.110-2014, SEC.1.
