Governing board powers

Sec. 3. The governing board of a hospital may do the following for a hospital police department established by the governing board under section 2 of this chapter: (1) Appoint hospital police officers. (2) Prescribe the duties and direct the conduct of hospital police officers. (3) Prescribe distinctive uniforms. (4) Provide emergency vehicles. (5) For a hospital police department of a nonprofit hospital, prescribe the jurisdiction for the nonprofit hospital police department. As added by P.L.199-2013, SEC.1. Amended by P.L.122-2023, SEC.14.
