Remediation programs; guidelines

Sec. 9. If the governing body decides to establish a remediation program or preventive remediation program under this chapter, the governing body must: (1) give priority in the allocation of resources to students who are deficient in reading skills in grades 1 through grade 3; (2) subject to section 10 of this chapter, determine the type of program that best fits the needs of the students of the school corporation; and (3) adopt guidelines for: (A) procedures for determining student eligibility for a program; and (B) implementation of the program.
