Sec. 12. (a) In accordance with IC 35-45-18-1(b), the commission may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to regulate the conduct of the following: (1) Mixed martial arts. (2) Martial arts, including the following: (A) Jujutsu. (B) Karate. (C) Kickboxing. (D) Kung fu. (E) Tae kwon do. (F) Judo. (G) Sambo. (H) Pankration. (I) Shootwrestling. (3) Professional wrestling. (4) Boxing. (5) Sparring. (b) The commission may adopt emergency rules under IC 4-22-2-37.1 if the commission determines that: (1) the need for a rule is so immediate and substantial that the ordinary rulemaking procedures under IC 4-22-2 are inadequate to address the need; and (2) an emergency rule is likely to address the need.
