Definitions

Sec. 1. (a) Except as provided in subsection (c), as used in this chapter, "public utility" means a: (1) public, municipally owned, or cooperatively owned utility; or (2) joint agency created under IC 8-1-2.2. (b) As used in this chapter, "public utility service" means the service rendered by a public utility. (c) As used in section 13 of this chapter, "public utility" means only those utilities listed in 170 IAC 4-7-2(a) and their successors in interest. As added by P.L.43-1983, SEC.12.
