Sec. 16. "Taxicab" means a motor vehicle that: (1) is designed and constructed to accommodate and transport not more than six (6) passengers in addition to the driver; (2) does not operate over any definite and designated routes within the corporate boundaries of a city or town and the suburban territory of a city or town; and (3) transports passengers to the destination designated by the passengers at the time of their transportation. IC 8-2.1-17-17 "Temporary authority" Sec. 17. "Temporary authority" means limited term motor carrier operating authority issued for periods up to one hundred eighty (180) days by the department to authorize transportation service for which there is an immediate and urgent need and that cannot be met by other motor carrier service.
