Sec. 8. A person may not erect or maintain in the right-of-way of a highway in the state highway system, or within two hundred (200) feet of the right-of-way, a sign or device directing or indicating on what highway or route a person should travel to reach a designated place or highway without the written consent of the department. The department may remove a sign or device erected or maintained in violation of this section. As added by P.L.18-1990, SEC.229.
