Duties during drilling and construction of well

Sec. 5.3. During the drilling and construction of a Class VI injection well, a storage operator must: (1) perform appropriate logs; (2) perform surveys and tests to determine or verify the: (A) depth; (B) thickness; (C) porosity; (D) permeability; (E) lithology; and (F) salinity; of any formation fluids in all relevant geologic formations to ensure conformance with the injection well construction requirements of the department; and (3) establish accurate baseline data against which future measurements may be compared. The storage operator must submit to the department a report prepared by a log analyst that includes an interpretation of the results of each log and test. As added by P.L.161-2026, SEC.56.
