Acquiring bank

Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, "acquiring bank" means the surviving bank in a merger of banks, the new corporation in a consolidation of banks, or the bank that purchases all, or substantially all, of the assets of another bank. As added by P.L.265-1985, SEC.3.
