28J.8 Area of jurisdiction. 1. The area of jurisdiction of a port authority shall include all of the territory of the political subdivisions comprising the port authority and, if the port authority owns or leases a railroad line or airport, the territory on which the railroad’s line, terminals, and related facilities or the airport’s runways, terminals, and related facilities are located, regardless of whether the territory is located in the political subdivisions comprising the port authority. 2. A political subdivision that has created a port authority or joined an existing port authority shall not be included in any other port authority. 2005 Acts, ch 150, §96 Referred to in §28J.2
