64.13 Municipal officers. The bonds of all municipal officers who are required to give bonds shall each be in such penal sum as may be provided by law or as the council shall from time to time prescribe by ordinance; but the council may provide for a surety bond running to the city and covering all city officers and employees not otherwise covered and conditioned as specified for bonds in section 64.2.
