80B.5 Administration — director — deputy director. 1. The administration of this chapter shall be vested in the office of the governor. Except for the director and deputy director of the academy, the staff as may be necessary for the academy to function shall be employed pursuant to the Iowa merit system. 2. The director of the academy shall be appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the senate, to serve at the pleasure of the governor, and the director may employ a deputy director.
