Vital statistics.

1. The recorder shall be the county registrar and carry out duties as provided in chapter 144 . 2. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Register and maintain certifications of birth as provided in sections 144.13 through 144.18 , 144.45 , and 144.46 . b. Register and maintain certifications of death as provided in sections 144.26 through 144.35 , 144.45 , and 144.46 . c. Issue and maintain marriage certificates as provided in sections 144.36 , 144.45 , and 144.46 , and chapter 595 . 95 Acts, ch 124, §12, 26
