12-1218. City, county and township libraries; definitions. As used in this act unless the context requires a different meaning, the following words, terms and phrases shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this section: (a) "Municipality" shall mean a county, township or incorporated city. (b) "Governing body" shall mean the governing body of a city, the board of county commissioners of a county, and the township trustee, clerk and treasurer acting as the township board of a township. (c) "Official head" shall mean the mayor of a city, the chairman of the board of county commissioners of the county, and the township trustee of a township. (d) "Library" shall mean a library which serves the general public and is supported in whole or in part with tax money. (e) "Regional library" shall mean a library maintained by two or more counties, or two or more townships. (f) "Library board" shall mean the board of directors of a library.
