12-4510. Same; imprisonment; fine. When a sentence of imprisonment is pronounced, the municipal judge or the clerk of the municipal court shall prepare and deliver to the chief of police a copy of the entry of judgment, duly certified by such judge or clerk, which shall be sufficient authority to such chief of police to execute the sentence and confine the accused person to jail for the time specified, or until further order of the court. When a fine is levied as punishment, the municipal judge or clerk of the municipal court shall issue a statement setting forth the amount of the fine and the manner of payment. Failure to pay in the manner specified may constitute contempt of court. History: L. 1973, ch. 61, § 12-4510; April 1, 1974.
