12-762. Same; existing plans effective until changed pursuant to this act. (a) Any comprehensive plan or part thereof, subdivision regulations, zoning regulations or building or setback lines adopted by the governing body or planning commission of any city or county adopted prior to January 1, 1992, and which are consistent with the provisions of this act shall continue in force and effect the same as though adopted under the provisions of this act, until the same is modified or a new comprehensive plan or part thereof, subdivision or zoning regulations or building or setback lines are adopted as provided in this act. (b) Any comprehensive plan or part thereof, subdivision regulations, zoning regulations or building or setback lines adopted by a township zoning board prior to January 1, 1992, shall continue in force and effect until the county in which the township is located, or the city if land in such township is annexed, adopts and places in effect a plan or part thereof, subdivision or zoning regulations or building or setback lines affecting land and buildings located within such township.
