17-7924. Registered office; requirements to maintain; references in documents. (a) Every covered entity shall have and maintain in this state a registered office that may, but need not be, the same as its place of business. (b) Whenever the term "principal office or place of business in this state" or "principal office or place of business of the (applicable covered entity) in this state," or other term of like import, is or has been used in the covered entity's public organic documents, or in any other document or in any statute other than the Kansas uniform commercial code, unless the context indicates otherwise, it shall be deemed to mean and refer to the covered entity's registered office required by this section, and it shall not be necessary for any covered entity to amend its public organic documents or any other document to comply with this section. (c) As contained in any covered entity's organic documents or other document filed with the secretary of state under the business entity standard treatment act, the postal address of a registered office shall include the building and suite number, street name or rural route number with box number, city, state and zip code.
