2-1330. Entry upon and inspection of property. (a) Subject to subsection (b), the boards of county commissioners, township boards, state and city officials, weed supervisors or any city, township, county or state employee so authorized shall have at all reasonable times, free access to enter upon such premises, without interference or obstruction to inspect property, both real and personal, regardless of location, in connection with the administration of this act. Entry upon such premises in accordance with this act shall not be deemed a trespass. (b) Any individual conducting an inspection pursuant to subsection (a) upon private property shall, before or immediately upon entering any such premises: (1) Attempt to notify, if practicable, the owner, operator or lessee of the premises of the purpose for the inspection; and (2) allow any such present and notified owner, operator or lessee of the premises, or any representative thereof, to accompany the individual conducting the inspection.
