22-4605. Release from custody; query criminal databases. (a) No person, whether convicted or being held on suspicion of charges, who is incarcerated by the state or any political subdivision thereof shall be released from custody until the custodian of such person has queried available state and federal criminal databases to determine whether there are any outstanding warrants for such person's arrest. (b) This section shall be part of and supplemental to the Kansas code of criminal procedure. History: L. 2000, ch. 181, § 2; July 1.
