23-2202. Definitions. As used in K.S.A. 23-2202 through 23-2204, and amendments thereto, except where the context otherwise requires: (a) "Birthing hospital" means a hospital or facility as defined by rules and regulations of the secretary for children and families. (b) "IV-D program" means a program for providing services pursuant to part D of title IV of the federal social security act (42 U.S.C. § 651 et seq.), and amendments thereto. (c) "Unwed mother" means a mother who was not married at the time of conception, at the time of birth or at any time between conception and birth.
