23-3209. Interviews; court; minors. The court may interview the minor children in chambers to assist the court in determining legal custody, residency, visitation rights and parenting time. The court may permit counsel to be present at the interviews. Upon request of any party, the court shall cause a record of the interview to be made as part of the record in the case. No error in trial court's refusal to require 12 year old girl to testify as to which parent she preferred as parent for primary residence. In re Marriage of Allen, 33 Kan.
