31-705. Inspectors, employment status, compensation. (a) An employee of a state educational institution who is appointed as a commissioned inspector shall not be considered an employee of the office of state fire marshal. (b) An employee of a state educational institution who is appointed as a commissioned inspector shall receive no monetary compensation from the office of the state fire marshal for performing powers, duties or functions of a commissioned inspector.
