38-2370. Good time credits; rules and regulations. (a) For purposes of determining release of a juvenile offender, a system shall be developed whereby good behavior is the expected norm and negative behavior will be punished. (b) The commissioner shall adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this section regarding good time calculations. Such rules and regulations shall provide circumstances upon which a juvenile offender may earn good time credits through participation in programs which may include, but not be limited to, education programs, work participation, treatment programs, vocational programs, activities and behavior modification. Such good time credits may also include the juvenile offender's willingness to examine and confront the past behavior patterns that resulted in the commission of the juvenile's offense.
