42-379. Compensation of board; bonds of officers; delivery of books to successors. The members of said board of irrigation commissioners shall receive, as full compensation for their services under this act, $3 per day for the time actually employed, and not to exceed the sum of $100 each per annum. The president and secretary of said board shall each enter into bond in the sum of $1,000, with good and sufficient surety to the state of Kansas, for the faithful performance of their duties; and the treasurer shall in like manner enter into bond, in a sum to be fixed by the county commissioners, in double the largest amount of the money of said irrigation district which will probably come into his hands at any time. All said bonds shall be taken and approved by the county clerk of the county in which the irrigation district is located, and shall be filed in the office of said clerk. Said president, secretary and treasurer shall, at the expiration of their respective terms of office, turn over to their respective successors in office all books, papers, moneys, and other property of the district.
