48-2802. (KCMJ Art. 56) Maximum punishment. (a) The punishment that a commanding officer may direct for an offense may not exceed limits prescribed by this code. (b) Notwithstanding the limitations already prescribed, the maximum fine that may be assessed by a commanding officer under K.S.A. 48-2301, and amendments thereto, shall not exceed the amount of $2,500.
