59-30,114. Notice of hearings; general requirements. (a) Except as otherwise provided in K.S.A. 59-30,130, 59-30,134, 59-30,143, 59-30,162 and 59-30,200, and amendments thereto, if notice of a hearing under this act is required, the movant shall give notice of the date, time and place of the hearing to the person to be notified unless otherwise ordered by the court for good cause. Except as otherwise provided in this act, notice must be given in compliance with K.S.A. 59-2208, and amendments thereto, at least 14 days before the hearing. (b) Proof of notice of a hearing under this act must be made before or at the hearing and filed in the proceeding. (c) Notice of a hearing under this act must be in at least 16-point font, in plain language, and, to the extent feasible, in a language in which the person to be notified is proficient.
