65-6101. Bureau of emergency medical services, position of director and emergency medical services council abolished; powers, duties and functions transferred. (a) The bureau of emergency medical services established pursuant to K.S.A. 74-2127, and amendments thereto, is hereby abolished and all of the powers, duties and functions of such bureau are transferred to and conferred and imposed upon the emergency medical services board established pursuant to K.S.A. 65-6102. Except as provided by this act, all powers, duties and functions of the university of Kansas relating to emergency medical services are transferred to and conferred and imposed upon the emergency medical services board established pursuant to K.S.A. 65-6102. (b) The position of the director of the bureau of emergency medical services appointed pursuant to K.S.A. 74-2127, and amendments thereto, is hereby abolished and all of the powers, duties and functions of the director of emergency medical services are transferred to and conferred and imposed upon the emergency medical services board or the administrator thereof as provided by this act. The director shall continue to carry out the duties of that position until an administrator is appointed and qualified pursuant to this act. (c) The emergency medical services council established under K.S.A. 65-4316, and amendments thereto, is hereby abolished and all of the powers, duties and functions of the council are transferred to and conferred and imposed upon the emergency medical services board.
