72-2244. Employment incentive or retention bonuses for teachers. (a) As used in this section: (1) "Teacher" means teachers, supervisors, principals, superintendents and any other professional employees who are required to hold a teacher's or school administrator's certificate in any public school. (2) "Board of education" means the board of education of any public school district. (b) The board of education may pay employment incentive or retention bonuses to teachers.
