72-408. Organizational status of state department of education; application of K-GOAL. (a) There is hereby established the state department of education with appropriate divisions which shall be under the administrative supervision of the commissioner as directed by law and by the state board. (b) The provisions of the Kansas governmental operations accountability law apply to the state department of education, and the department is subject to audit, review and evaluation under such law.
