74-49,315. Determination of beneficiary; lump-sum death benefit for retirants. A member's beneficiary shall be determined as provided in the pre-2015 plan. Upon filing a written application with the board after the death of a member receiving a benefit under K.S.A. 74-49,313(a) or (b), and amendments thereto, the member's beneficiary is entitled to the lump-sum death benefit as provided in K.S.A. 74-4989, and amendments thereto.
