74-5808. Same; certain acts prohibited; display of license or certificate. (a) No person shall engage in the sale of or practice of dispensing and fitting hearing instruments or display a sign or in any other way advertise or hold oneself out as a person who practices the dispensing and fitting of hearing instruments unless such person holds a current, unsuspended, unrevoked license issued by the board as provided in this act, or unless such person holds a current, unsuspended, unrevoked certificate of endorsement. The license or certificate required by this section shall be kept conspicuously posted in such person's office or place of business at all times. (b) No person shall use the title "hearing instrument dispenser," "hearing aid dispenser," "hearing instrument specialist," "hearing aid specialist," "hearing aid dealer," "hearing instrument dealer" or any other comparable or similar term or by any other words, letters, abbreviations or insignia that indicate such person practices the fitting of hearing instruments unless such person is licensed by the board.
