74-8013. Funds of the department of commerce; disposition. (a) All state appropriations to or grants of state appropriations to the secretary of commerce shall remain in the state treasury until expended or transferred to other state agencies by the secretary of commerce. (b) Except as provided in subsection (a), all moneys received by the secretary of commerce from gifts, donations, grants or any other source outside the state treasury may be placed in the state treasury or may be maintained in interest-bearing accounts in Kansas banks or Kansas savings and loan associations until expended or otherwise disposed of by the secretary of commerce.
