74-8803a. Same; renamed. (a) On the effective date of this act the Kansas racing commission shall be and is hereby officially designated as the Kansas racing and gaming commission. (b) On and after the effective date of this act, whenever the Kansas racing commission, or words of like effect, is referred to or designated by a statute, contract or other document, created before the effective date of this act, such reference or designation shall mean and apply to the Kansas racing and gaming commission. (c) Nothing in this act shall be construed as abolishing or reestablishing the Kansas racing commission. History: L. 1996, ch. 256, § 18; July 1.
