75-2566. Establishment and operation of publication collection and depository system; duties of state agencies and the state librarian. (a) The state librarian is hereby authorized and directed to establish, operate and maintain a publication collection and depository system as provided in this act. (b) Each state agency shall deposit with the Kansas state library and the state historical society one printed copy of any publication issued by such state agency. If more copies are needed, the state librarian shall request the specified quantity. (c) The state librarian shall forward two copies of all such publications to the library of congress, one copy to the center for research libraries and one or more copies shall be retained permanently in the Kansas state library. Additional copies, as may be prescribed by rule and regulation, may be required for the depository system. History: L. 1976, ch. 358, § 2; L. 2002, ch. 151, § 10; July 1.
