75-5274. Same; definitions. As used in the prison-made goods act of Kansas, the following words and terms shall have, respectively, the meanings ascribed to them by this section: (a) "Local agency" means any county, city, township, school district and any other political subdivision or taxing district in this state. (b) "State agency" means any state office or officer, department, board, commission, institution, bureau, or any agency, division or unit within any office, department, board, commission or other authority of this state. (c) "Other state" means any other state or political subdivision thereof. (d) "Federal government" means the federal government or any agency thereof. (e) "Organization" means any church or any not-for-profit corporation organized for eleemosynary purposes. History: L. 1973, ch. 339, § 77; L. 1978, ch. 366, § 7; July 1.
