75-5912. Same; terms of members. (a) Any member appointed to fill a vacancy occurring prior to the expiration of the term for which the member's predecessor was appointed shall be appointed for the remainder of such term. (b) Any member appointed to fill a vacancy occurring upon the expiration of the term for which the member's predecessor was appointed shall be appointed for a period of three years. Members shall be eligible for reappointment. (c) Members appointed by the president of the senate, the minority leader of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives and the minority leader of the house of representatives shall serve at the pleasure of the person holding the office held by the person appointing such members.
