84-4-107. Separate office of bank. A branch or separate office of a bank is a separate bank for the purpose of computing the time within which and determining the place at or to which action may be taken or notices or orders must be given under this article and under article 3. History: L. 1965, ch. 564, § 206; L. 1991, ch. 296, § 77; February 1, 1992. KANSAS COMMENT, 1996 This section is identical to the 1995 Official Text and is substantially the same as the former 84-4-106. The language "maintaining its own deposit ledgers" in the former 84-4-106 has been deleted, as is explained in Official Comment 5. Because of electronic processing and the availability they provide branches to record the transactions, the location of the computer is no longer as significant. Revisor's Note: In 1991 former section 84-4-107 was transferred to 84-4-108 as a conforming amendment in the revision of article 3 of the code and the number reassigned to former section 84-4-106.
