§2487.2. Qualifications of judge and marshal The city judge must be licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana for at least eight years previous to his election and a qualified resident elector of the territorial jurisdiction of the court for at least two years prior to his election. The city marshal must be a qualified resident elector of the territorial jurisdiction of the court for at least two years prior to his election. Acts 1964, No. 102, §2; Acts 2008, No. 196, §1.
