§1683. Penalty Any contractor, sub-contractor, foreman, or other person having charge of the erection, construction, repairing, alteration, removal, or painting of any structure who violates any provision of this Part shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than five hundred dollars or imprisoned for not less than three months nor more than two years, or both.
